This resource examines resistance to colonial rule in Australia, from Aboriginal resistance to the Rum Rebellion.
The concept of the Frontier Wars is discussed, as well as resistance leaders from Pemulwuy in Sydney to Calyute and Yagan in Western Australia. Convict resistance and the Castle Hill Rebellion is also covered, as well as the more well-known Rum Rebellion.
Aimed primarily at the Year 5 Australian History curriculum, this resource complements other Australian History and Geography resources for Years 4, 5 and 6.
