How It Works
- Units are licensed per classroom. Typically there are four units to cover the curriculum for that year-level.
- If you want to use a particular unit in three classrooms at your school, you must purchase that unit three times. But don’t worry, we do keep costs low!
- After purchase, the PDF materials can be downloaded from the site (optionally many files together in a ZIP).
- Each PDF is tagged with your name and organisation so it’s clear where the items are licensed to, as well as the year so you can verify they’re current.
Getting Started
We’d love to welcome you as a new customer!
While a subscription can provide you with significant savings, we have made it possible to order units without a subscription. This allows you to try out a complete unit with minimal outlay. A term unit for one year level costs $49.50 for non-subscribers, easily affordable from a classroom budget! When viewing an individual product or category, the online store will inform you of the possible savings with an active subscription. We believe you won’t regret your first step, and then either you or the school can move up to a subscription before ordering additional units!

Subscriptions
- A single teacher is naturally entitled to order for any year levels in their classroom. So, a year 3/4 teacher can order and use any units for year 3 and 4.
- Note: a single teacher subscription is for one individual teacher/classroom, it can not be used to supply multiple classes with resources/units. This would require either multiple single-teacher subscriptions, or a year-level, department, or school-wide subscription.
- With a school-wide subscription, these concepts are simply extrapolated across all classes and their year levels. For a school-wide implementation of the Understanding Our World™ integrated HASS+Science program, it’s generally easiest to contact us and show you how the pricing works out for your school!
- The effective cost per student/year for this program works out between $4-$25, the lower end being for a school with approx 25 students per classroom and no multi-year-level classes.
- For very small schools with composite classes of three or more year-levels, we have special multi-year unit bundles available that provide a teacher with a suitable unit across multiple year levels while also delivering pricing appropriate for the school’s small scale. A whole-school implementation can cost as little as $495.
We can assist you with all this. While all our resources and services are available for purchase through our online store, do feel free to Contact Us for a detailed quote! We can discuss your specific needs and answer any questions you might have. Where feasible, we’re happy to also come to you to meet in person.
