Description
This resource explores the life and work of Samuel Griffith, premier of Queensland in the late 19th century and one of the architects of Federation. Griffith was in charge of the team which drafted the Australian Constitution. In the early 20th century, Griffith became the first Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia. Part of our ‘Federation’ series, this resource provides information about the period around Federation, the constitution and the High Court.
