Australian Aborigines have a concept called “Country” or “Place” to refer to their relationship with the land. Only Aboriginal people have a right to explain the concept of “Country” or “Place”, anyone who is not Aboriginal is not qualified to talk about what these concepts mean.

In this description we will explain the role of the concept in their society, both now and in the past; where such a concept might have come from and what implications it has for their relationship with the environment.
