Activity to investigate scientifically the processes of freezing and thawing water, and potential effects on the landscape; as well as the processes and technology involved in making mud bricks. A model answers PDF is included for teachers.
Students explore aspects of the Science curriculum (melting and freezing and the effects of heat), in the context of the History/Geography material.
Mud bricks were a vital technology in early agriculture and the development of complex, settled societies.
