Designed to complement the Regions of North America resource, this resource examines the different environments encountered by a range of explorers and settlers in North America. This resource links the information on biomes with climate zones to examine the challenges and possibilities of each environment and also contrasts the way that indigenous people understood and used the environment with the struggles of European and other explorers and settlers.
