Description

This resource examines a few of the indigenous groups of Africa and South America. It describes the people and aspects of their way of life, concentrating on their use of resources from the environment, their management of the environment and their management of waste. In addition, later impacts both on their way of life, and the environment on which they depended, are briefly examined. The current situation of the indigenous group is given. Thus this resource is a natural complement to the Geography resources: Regions of Africa, Regions of South America, Environments of Africa and Environments of South America. The groups included in this resource are: Africa – Bantu-speaking people; Kingdom of Kongo; Khoisan and the Berbers; South America – Tupiniquim people; Cambeba people; Incas and the Tehuelche people.
