Description

The Chinese admiral, Zheng He, undertook 7 expeditions with huge fleets from China through South-east Asia and along the India Ocean coast in the early 15th century, under the Yongle Emperor of the Ming Dynasty. This resource examines the life of this Chinese explorer, as well as the implications for the history of Asia and his role in setting the scene for the later voyages by the Europeans.
