Description
The Spanish landed on the mainland of North America in 1527 to explore Florida. The expedition ran out of food and boats were wrecked in bad weather. As the men tried to make it back to Spanish territories in Mexico overland, they faced various hardships, which very few survived. One of the few survivors was Alvar Nuñez Cabeza de Vaca.
This resource examines his life and experiences in North America. It aligns with Year 5 Australian Curriculum History, Geography and HASS.
