Description
This resource extends the North American Geography information of the Regions of North America and Environments of North America resources to examine environmental impact through examining the extinction of animals in North America. The factors that led to the extinction of these animals are discussed and the role of people and the environment is examined. This resource considers the Great Auk; the Caribbean Parrots; Shrews and Hutias; Native Rats; Birds of Prey; the Elk and the California Grizzly Bear as case studies.
