Description
Hernán Cortés was a conquistador in the truest sense of the word. He conquered the Aztecs in Mexico and created a new state which he called “New Spain”. Facing dissent from not only the indigenous people, but also fellow Spaniards, Cortés applied force to entrench his position. This resource examines his life and actions in Mexico, whilst providing an overview of the end of the Aztec Empire.
