Description
Accompanying Cabral on his voyage in the year 1500 was Pêro Vaz de Caminha, a Portuguese official. He was on the expedition in the capacity of future secretary of the trading factory to be established in India. Given his administrative skills, he was given the task of making the first report on the land which Cabral’s expedition had located in South America, which later became known as Brazil. This resource examines Caminha’s life and contribution.
