Resource: Brisbane Floods of 1893

Description

This resource, part of our “Natural Disasters in Australia” series, describes a series of disastrous floods, which devastated Brisbane in 1893. The floods had a huge impact on the settlement of Brisbane and led to the construction of dams to control water-flow on the Brisbane and Stanley Rivers in the 20^th century.

This resource is aimed at Year 5 History, Geography and HASS in the Australian Curriculum, but can also be used for local or Australian history studies by other year levels.
