Description
This resource introduces students to the political campaign.
It explains how candidates, who hope to be elected, use slogans, promises, posters and speeches to persuade voters to vote for them. The resource is aimed at students who are undertaking the Class Election activity, to explain strategies that they may wish to use during this activity. The resource also mentions how to use the activity to develop emotional intelligence.
This resource complements the activity Running a Class Election and aligns with Year 4, 5 and 6 Australian Curriculum History, Civics and Citizenship and HASS.
