Description
The rainforests of Australia had some of the highest population sizes amongst Aboriginal groups at the time of contact with Europeans. Aboriginal people found a wealth of resources in the rainforests. This resource concentrates on groups in the rainforests of Far North Queensland and examines their ways of acquiring food and their management of the rainforest environments in a sustainable way, as well as their culture and beliefs. It is part of our ‘Indigenous Peoples’ series.
This resource aligns with Year 4, 5 and 6 Australian Curriculum History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship and HASS.
